Peacock is the first Dinner Club concept in Sweden. Housed two stories below street level the setting is a spectacle of light and color recemling the eye of the Peacocks tail.

Andreas Lyckefors: “The client is a group of young entrepreneurs who have been bartending in Gothenburg for many years and run other bars in the city. They wanted a new dining concept, a restaurant and bar that seamlessly translates into a vibrating dancing scene as the night progresses. The challenge was to create an exclusive restaurant but also a space that could become a house club later in the evening. We had to decide how to use the space well in order to allow this to happen.”

“The clients mentioned they wanted the feeling of the peacock present throughout the whole design concept – they wanted it to be glamorous and dramatic. So we spread the tail feathers out over the walls and used coloured lighting to lift the space.”

Seventy people can be seated for dinner but the space will also accommodate up to 300 for the nightclub. “All the furniture had to be transformable, to be used in different ways” explains Lyckefors.

Material and light reflect the vibe and atmosphere of the club, enhancing comfort in early evenings and setting the mode of a metropolitan endless night as the evening progess.
