Villa Woldu is a private house in Gothenburg. The building is placed on a cliff at the Örgryte hights with magnificent views over the city.
Two volumes form the house. The first one to the north is long and low and the other is two stories and square shaped. Together they form an L-shape in plan framing the entrance court in the east towards the street where the glassed entrace reveil the view through the building.
Materiality and light are two important features of the house. Placed in a nordic setting most experiments was with the effects of low standing sun and what it does to colors of light and shadows to a building and the experience of interior space.
